iChoose · iDo · iLead

A values-based, three-year leadership journey that helps young people learn to lead themselves before they ever try to lead anyone else. It's practiced peer-to-peer, right in the classroom.

What iLead is

Leadership you practice, not a lecture you sit through

iLead is a values-based leadership curriculum built in three volumes (iChoose, iDo, and iLead), each inspired by the leadership philosophy of author, speaker, and coach Dr. John C. Maxwell. Every volume holds 32 lesson parts across 4 units, designed in collaboration with educational leaders to be facilitated by the students themselves in weekly small groups we call Transformation Tables.

At Transformation Tables, students practice leading with each other, not with an adult lecturing them. They build real friendships, find their voice, and take action on good values. Each lesson pairs one value with a picture and a quote, then gives a short teaching, an honest self-check, and one action to take right away.

The three-year progression

The iChoose Youth Development Program

A healthier picture of what leadership really is

The iChoose youth development program is a donor-funded workshop facilitated by Leadership TeamBuilder and developed by Dr. John C. Maxwell. It gives students an environment where leadership values are introduced, practiced, and shared.

Ask a lot of teenagers what a leader is, and they'll describe a boss with power, or worse. Few have ever seen what healthy leadership looks like. iChoose changes that. It shows young people a kind of leadership built on values they can admire, practice, and grow into.

63%

of Millennials and Gen Z (half the world's population and its rising workforce) feel their leadership skills are not being developed.

Why iLead matters

Good grades aren't enough anymore. Young people need real leadership practice so they're ready to lead well. iLead gives them Maxwell's values and the chance to practice them, and as they do, their potential grows.

iLead values every student and lets them practice what they learn. For teachers, it's a solid program that deepens learning, gives you a base for lesson planning, and fits into what you already do.

For educators

Everything a teacher needs, in one Sponsor Hub

When you register, you get your own login to the iLead Sponsor Hub, with content and a simple process for growing your students' people skills.

The Sponsor Hub keeps every iLead lesson and tool in one place, for the classroom or online. Teachers can send out lessons and anonymous student surveys, then see how students are growing, how engaged they are, and who's showing up.

iLead is donor-funded, so it can reach classrooms that could never pay for a leadership program. Just $27 covers one student for a year. Help us put a healthier picture of leadership in front of one more young person.
