A maintenance guy who wouldn't stop teaching leadership

Jay Olivo spent forty years on the factory floor — Coca-Cola, Estée Lauder, AmerisourceBergen, and today Oerlikon, where he's an Engineering and Reliability Manager. Along the way he learned that machines almost never fail on their own. Behind every breakdown is a person who wasn't heard or a team that never learned to trust each other.

So he went and learned the people part — as a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, a John Maxwell Executive Coach, a DISC consultant, and the author of Leadership Between the Lines. Then he did the right thing with it: he built a nonprofit and started giving it away.
